My Story

After running Stafford Half Marathon in March it was time to set my next goal. I always wanted to run a full Marathon before my half century. As I couldn’t get a place in the actual London Marathon I decided to sign up for the virtual event.

This takes place on Sunday the 2nd October 2022, the run is tracked and officiated by Virtual London TCS and has to be completed at any point during the day. I will be running the event on a route I have used to train, in and around Eccleshall. It is very last minute as a couple of injuries slowed down my process, but having so far managed just over 20 miles last week I have decided to go for it!

I would really appreciate any support, I will be running and raising money for Parkinson’s UK, as anyone that knows me this is an illness close to my family with my father, Bob, being diagnosed with Parkinson’s and all the struggles that come with this horrible disease.

My Family will be able to track my progress during the day, I am yet to really set a time, but I will be starting the run from home and ending the challenge at the Eagle Pub Eccleshall (hoping for mid afternoon) I would love any of our local friends and family to join me in a well-deserved Pint at the end.
